Hello, my name is Ajani Obaseki. I am 19 years old, and I have a passion for acting, singing, dancing, and video editing. I love being creative and enjoy all forms of art—especially the performing, visual, and theatre arts. I began acting at the age of 10 when I was cast as Zazu in The Lion King Jr. under the direction of Shawn and Sherion Cosby, while training at CenterStage Academy for the Arts. My love for storytelling has since grown, earning me several awards, including the All-American High School Film Festival Indie Award for Best Journalism Feature Story.
I am a graduate of DC International School, where I honed advanced skills in video production and journalism. Currently, I am pursuing a major in Multi-Platform Production with a minor in Theatre Arts at Morgan State University. I also sing bass in the world-renowned Morgan State University Choir and recently performed as part of the ensemble in the university’s production of Aida. My most notable credit thus far is portraying the Temptations singer Eddie Kendricks in the show Echoes of Motown: A Musical Requiem of Rhythm & Resistance, written by Dr. Tyrone Stanley.
